Amedeo College Early Years

Ages 5 to 6

AMEDEO CLASSROOM.jpg

Cambridge Primary starts learners on an exciting educational journey.  Typically for 5 to 6year olds, it provides a strong foundation for students at the beginning of their schooling before progressing through the Cambridge Pathway ï»¿in an age-appropriate way.

Amedeo College - Our Cambridge Tailored Approach

Our Early Years programme is designed to lay the strongest possible foundation for lifelong learning. In Grade R, learners aged 5–6 experience a carefully structured, play-based curriculum that aligns with the Cambridge Early Years framework while meeting each child exactly where they are.

We understand that children at this age learn through doing, exploring, and playing. Our classrooms are sensory-rich environments designed to support developing nervous systems, build social confidence, and introduce the foundational concepts of literacy and numeracy in ways that feel natural and engaging.

For neurodiverse learners, this stage is particularly critical. Early identification of learning differences — and early, targeted support — has a profound impact on a child's long-term educational trajectory. Our on-site Therapy Centre works closely with Early Years teachers to identify and support learners from day one.
